🎞️ Module 2: The Core Workflow
Editing isn't just about clicking buttons; it's about a structured process called a Workflow. Following these steps prevents "Editor's Burnout."
* Organization: Create folders for "Footage," "Audio," and "Graphics." Name your clips (e.g., Beach_WideShot_01) so you don't lose them.
* The Assembly (Rough Cut): Drag your best clips onto the timeline in the order of the story. Don't worry about effects yet—just focus on the flow.
* The Fine Cut: Trim the "dead air." Every second must serve a purpose. If a shot doesn't move the story forward, delete it.
* Audio Design: Add background music, sound effects (SFX), and clean up your voiceover. Pro Tip: Bad audio ruins good video every time.
* Color & Effects: Perform Color Correction (making it look natural) and Color Grading (giving it a "mood," like warm or moody).
* Exporting: Use H.264/MP4 for web uploads. Ensure your resolution matches your platform (1080x1920 for Vertical/Reels; 1920x1080 for Horizontal/YouTube).
