Hey, Form Four leavers! Before you scroll any further, I want to share some powerful information that can actually help you plan your future. If you’re thinking about a career in construction, here’s a simple guide to some courses that could shape your future. First, there’s Construction Management. Basically, you’ll be the person planning and supervising building projects from start to finish. It’s a course that’s really in demand because every building, road, or infrastructure project needs someone to manage it well. Companies in Kenya and even abroad are always looking for skilled construction managers. If you want to study this, some of the top Universities are JKUAT, University of Nairobi, and Technical University of Kenya. Then we have Interior House Design. This is all about making indoor spaces like homes, offices, or hotels look amazing and functional. With people building and renovating more than ever, interior designers are getting a lot of opportunities locally and internationally, especially in fancy homes or big offices. You can check out programs at Kenyatta University, JKUAT, and Rift Valley Technical Training Institute. The third option is Building Construction, where you’ll learn the technical skills to actually build houses, bridges, roads, and other structures. Skilled builders and construction engineers are always in demand, and hands-on experience can really take you far. The best schools here are JKUAT, Technical University of Kenya, and Mombasa Technical Training Institute. Now, if we look at what’s trending right now, Construction Management is leading both in Kenya and globally. Why? Because technology, smart buildings, and sustainable construction are growing fast, and companies need experts who can plan and deliver projects efficiently. So, if you want a career with opportunities at home and abroad, this is the one to consider. As I say goodbye and wish you the very best in your course selection, here’s your assignment while KUCCPS is yet to open its portal. Pick a course you enjoy, but also think about where the jobs are. The construction industry is booming, so choosing the right skills now can set you up for a strong and exciting career.
