WHAT COMES TO YOUR MIND WHEN YOU HEAR THAT KUCCPS IS ABOUT TO OPEN ITS PORTAL?

Is it law? Information Technology? Mass Communication? Computer Science? Pharmacy? Engineering? Criminology? Nursing? Business? Education? Architecture? Economics? Medicine? For most students who leave Form Four, the course is the main thing on their minds. But before you choose the programme, have you thought about the university that will affect how you study it and who you become while you are doing it?
The university you choose will affect your values, your networks, your discipline, and your worldview long after you graduate. Being in the wrong place for four years can make you weaker. Four years in the right one can make you better.
When you work on your application, you should think about more than just cluster points and mean grades. What kind of organisation are you about to join?
Kabarak University is one of those schools that values both academic success and moral grounding equally. Daniel arap Moi, a former president, started the university. It is in Nakuru County, with its main campus on Eldama Ravine Road and a Nakuru City campus that offers a variety of programmes.
Kabarak is a private Christian university that combines biblical principles with higher education. Discipline, honesty, and responsibility are not just nice things to have; they are part of what makes the institution what it is. The way the learning environment is set up helps both the mind and the spirit grow.
This is more important than you might think for a student who is moving from high school to college. The first time you really feel free is when you go to college. There are no bells at school. No teachers are checking homework in class. No parents are keeping an eye on daily activities. The culture of the place you work will either help you be more disciplined or make it harder for you to do so.
At Kabarak, the Bible and academics go hand in hand. Students are expected to follow the rules of the school and have good morals. Its well-organised administrative structure helps keep the academic calendar stable so students can move up and graduate on time without long delays.
The university has a lot of different programmes in established schools, such as:
.School of Law
.School of Business and Economics
.School of Health Sciences
.School of Music and Media
.School of Education
.School of Science, Engineering and Technology
This range makes sure that students can have competitive careers while still being in a school that values learning.
But before you send in your KUCCPS choices, you need to do a lot of research on Kabarak or any other university you are thinking about.
Find out if the school is public or private. Look over the fee structure carefully so that your family can make plans. Look into the housing options, campus culture, and student support systems. Think about whether the university fits with both your academic goals and your personal beliefs.
Kabarak is a private university, so its tuition is different from that of public schools. So, planning your finances is an important part of making decisions. Getting ready early stops you from having to deal with extra stress once you're accepted.
When KUCCPS opens its portal, don't choose a university just because it's popular or because your friends are going there. If the environment doesn't help you grow, a well-known name doesn't mean much.
Your degree will help you get a job.
But the environment at your school will affect your character, your discipline, and your way of thinking.
Before you click "Apply," think about whether you're picking a course or the kind of foundation you want for the next four years of your life.
