To a dreamer
I used to think everyone was supposed to live their dream...yk...dream doctors to actualise their dreams in the hospitals...athletes to the tracks and everyone where their fantasies could lead them. I could stay the whole night smiling to the abyss of wasted time just to feel that rush of where my desires could take me to the near future. In short, nlikua na Fanto Sana 😂 😂
One thing that remained constant in my mind was that I had to go to university directly. I saw no other way. It was a do or die. I can swear before my own struggles, I gave it all. I did the waking up at 3 propaganda and sometimes slept at ungodly hours but the exams didn't care 🥲. I watched university dreams fly away like the merciless aviator planes 😂💔.
I remember during those moments I used to believe; no university, no dreams. That's what the system made me believe. It didn't praise the other way. The system only fought for bachelor's exposure making every other thing feel, inferior. Unworthy. Degraded and all other associated synonyms.
Today I stand against the system to demystify the unreasonable feelings it has attached to institutions such as KMTC and TVET'S. Sikupata grade ya university lakini KMTC nliangukia. TVET ikakua option though surrounded with feelings of inferiority. It was some tough few days at first cause I used to tell my self I've let everyone down by joining here. I'm not going to make it and other demotivating statements that made camp in my mind.
Years passed and I managed to go to land of milk and honey 😂. Abroad. Tell me why skills are valued above every other thing? Tell me why I'm soo valuable here yet felt low back home?
People have preset notions about institutions that are not universities. Lemme try this trend 😂. When you finish highschool, you'll read somewhere that KMTC'S or TVET'S are a good option if you didn't qualify for direct university entry. It's important you consider them before deciding to leave it all together; you'll thank yourself for reading and considering it when you start earning massively from what you once told yourself... It's not a degree. 🫰🏽🙃🪄
