Most shared rooms have only one socket. Sometimes your phone is below 5% and your roommate is charging his or someone borrowed your charger and has not returned it yet. I had this challenge. The best thing is buy an extension for your room so that you able to charge the phone anytime, or purchase a powerbank. This worked for me, I'm sure it will work for you too.
