Is there punishment in campus?
Mercy
Yeah, there’s definitely punishment in campus, though it’s not like high school with prefects and manual labor. I found this out the hard way in my second year when I skipped too many classes thinking no one would notice. Then boom — I got a warning letter from the dean’s office and was told that if I missed more, I’d be barred from exams. It felt like a slap in the face, especially because I thought campus was all about freedom. Turns out, the system still keeps tabs, and if you mess around too much, the consequences are real — academic suspensions, disciplinary hearings, even eviction from hostels.
What really helped me recover was learning how to communicate and show accountability. After that warning letter, I had to meet with my course advisor and explain myself. It was humbling, but I started showing up, submitted my assignments on time, and kept a cleaner record. Campus punishment isn’t just about rules — it’s about protecting your future. Once you understand that, you learn to move smarter and avoid putting yourself in positions where those penalties can ruin your whole year.
