Can I change this course ain't sure???
Mercy
I remember standing at the edge of second semester feeling completely unsure about my course. Everyone around me seemed so confident, like they knew exactly where they were headed, while I was stuck questioning if I had made the right decision. I didn’t want to seem like a quitter, and I feared starting over would be a waste of time or disappoint people. But what ate me up most was feeling trapped — forcing myself through units I had no interest in, just because I didn’t want to admit I was lost.
Eventually, I reached out to a few people who had switched courses, and that changed everything. They told me it’s okay not to have it all figured out from the start. I spoke to an academic advisor, and even though the process wasn’t simple, I realized changing course wasn’t failure — it was choosing what was right for me. If you’re unsure, don’t ignore that feeling. Ask questions, explore your options, and take your time. It’s better to realign early than to drag yourself through years of something that doesn’t feel right.
