Best places to cry in peace on campus đ (serious suggestions pls)
Mercy
Iâve definitely had my share of those breakdown moments on campus where I just needed a place to cry in peace without bumping into half my classmates. It sounds funny, but itâs realâand youâre not alone. For me, one of the best spots was the back corners of the library, especially in the sections people rarely visit. No one really bothers you there, and the silence gives you space to breathe (or cry silently). Another underrated place is empty lecture halls during off-hours. If you find a room thatâs not in use, itâs private, quiet, and you can sit at the back without anyone noticing. Iâve had full-on tear sessions in there and left feeling lighter.
Also, don't sleep on green areas with trees or benches far from main pathsâsomewhere students donât usually pass. I used to go behind certain faculty buildings or near the field when there were no games happening. Headphones and sunglasses are your best friends if you donât want questions. Some people even cry in washroom stalls, especially the ones in less busy buildings. It might sound odd now, but finding âyour crying spotâ can be weirdly comforting. University life gets heavy, and sometimes a quiet cry is part of the process. Just know that itâs okay to feel that wayâand it passes.
